Garment Care - How to Make Puff Prints Last
To help prevent the ink from cracking, peeling, or flattening, follow these garment care best practices:
- Turn Inside Out: Always wash your puff print clothing inside out to protect the raised texture from rubbing against the washer drum or other clothing.
- Wash Cold & Gentle: Use cold water and a mild detergent to keep the ink flexible and prevent premature fading
- Air Dry: Hang the garment to dry. Machine drying exposes the puff ink to high heat, which can crack or melt the foam. If you must use a dryer, use a low-heat setting.
- Skip the Iron: Never run a hot iron directly over a puff print, as the heat and pressure will permanently flatten the 3D effect.
